A joint Divine Liturgy was held today in Stoke-on-Trent bringing together clergy and faithful from two sister Orthodox communities.

The delegation of St. Rufael and Abune Echege Yohannes EOTC – Stoke joined worshippers at St. Mary and St. John Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church, Stoke-on-Trent for a shared celebration of the Holy Qidase (Divine Liturgy). The service reflected the deep spiritual bond between the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo and Coptic Orthodox traditions.

The prayer service was marked by reverence, unity, and mutual respect, highlighting the long-standing historical and theological ties between the two ancient Oriental Orthodox Churches.

Following the Divine Liturgy, leaders from both churches held constructive discussions focusing on future collaboration.
